La parola è lo strumento principale che ci permette di definire la realtà tramite un codice condiviso. Tuttavia, un gesto, un suono e l’immagine possono spesso anticiparla fino a sostituirsi ad essa, in una dimensione di universalità immediata che supera quelle barriere linguistiche e psicologiche che condizionano ogni espressione esteriore di un sentire interiore. I codici linguistici ed espressivi condivisi spesso faticano infatti a restituire la pluridimensionalità dell’esperienza umana. Ma se il pensiero, come rifletteva Wittgenstein, è “l’immagine logica dei fatti”, questo mondo “senza parole” può manifestarsi poeticamente in opere d’arte idiosincratiche o ineffabili.

Le opere di Dario Picariello e J&Peg presentate in mostra lavorano a livelli diversi sull’impenetrabilità del messaggio-parola, e l’esplorazione di codici alternativi di espressione che permettano di cogliere l’immediatezza di un movimento del pensiero e dell’anima, e tramandarli nel tempo.

The word is the main tool that allows us to define reality through a shared code. However, a gesture, a sound, and an image can often anticipate it to the point of replacing it, in a dimension of immediate universality that surpasses linguistic and psychological barriers that condition every external expression of an inner feeling. Shared linguistic and expressive codes often struggle to convey the multidimensionality of human experience. But if thought, as reflected by Wittgenstein, is "the logical picture of facts," this "wordless" world can manifest poetically in idiosyncratic or ineffable works of art.

The works of Dario Picariello and J&Peg presented in the exhibition work on different levels on the impenetrability of the word-message, and the exploration of alternative codes of expression that allow us to grasp the immediacy of a movement of thought and soul, and to transmit them over time..
